There is a tradition in North American culture...
It revolves around the Sears Robuck company and their rather cheesy photo studio. There are a million studios in Vancouver but they have the monopoly and people just naturally gravitate their when your child can hold their head up.

So here is our little slice of Americana... thanks to Sal and Steve for pushing us in that direction... I was sceptical but am quite happy with the outcome. Just don't tell anyone.

Thanks to Sara and Cath leigh had a wonderful shower. Relatives and friends all descended on Cath's place for the festivities with surprise visits from Leigh's aunt and cousin from Victoria... here's some picks.

Today on the countdown... 37 days to go. Sally is 10 days ahead of us and for awhile it looked like she may be induced due to her high blood pressure but things have stabilized. Sally has been put on bed rest for the remainder of the time so with a new chillin attitude she should be able to make it to week 37.

No new pictures taken yet but I'll do a little video of the two the next time they are together... battle of the bellies I'll call it.

107 Days to Cienna Birth

It's currently March 20th and winter is finally behind us.

My name is Simon and I'll be writing to this blog with updates on the impending birth of Simon and Leighs first baby girl Cienna.

We had an ultrasound 3 weeks ago and it's currently looking like a girl. A wee baby girl... we're very excited and currently the name looks to be Cienna. Leigh is wanting a middle name and the debate is on... I'm rooting for Morgan but she's not too keen. For short she'll be baby cc.

This is my first blog and I've been wanting to do one for ages but now I've got a good reason... So we'll be keeping you updated with milestones as they happen and lots of pictures and video... stay tuned and enjoy the ride with us.
